Senior Electrician
Our client is seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior Electrician to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned professional to lead electrical maintenance and troubleshooting projects in an industrial environment. The ideal candidate will have significant hands-on experience, the ability to mentor junior staff, and the technical expertise to manage complex electrical systems. Key Responsibilities:
- Follow IATF16949 and ISO14001 work instructions and safety guidelines to ensure compliance and safety.
- Perform repair and rebuilding of electric motors, excluding stator and armature rewinding.
- Troubleshoot and repair induction furnaces, mold units, and hydraulic systems.
- Repair and maintain electric overhead cranes and hoists (both electrical and mechanical, except welding).
- Work with low voltage and voltage controls up to 480 volts.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics and diagrams for troubleshooting and repairs.
- Install and maintain conduit runs and electrical cabinet layouts.
- Lead electrical projects and define work scopes for improvements and repairs.
- Train and mentor millwrights and apprentices in electrical systems and safety protocols.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Master Electrician Certification or equivalent (Associate's Degree in electrical/electronics or Industrial Electricity Certificate).
- Minimum of 10 years of industrial electrical experience or possession of a Master Electrician License.
- Proficiency with low voltage and voltage controls up to 480 volts.
- Familiarity with PLC controls and knowledge of Allen Bradley Rockwell Software (RS Logix 5, RS Logix 500, RS Linx), PLC-5, and SLC500 hardware.
- Experience with electrical testing procedures, including megging motors, sensor testing, and building circuits to print.
- Basic computer skills for work order management.
- Ability to obtain licenses for forklifts, boom lifts, and scissor lifts through company-provided training.
Preferred Skills:
- Expertise in electronic instrumentation, such as temperature controllers, chart recorders, and variable frequency drives.
- Competency in electrical troubleshooting and testing methods.
- Experience leading and managing complex electrical projects.
