Job Summary:
We are currently seeking a Sr Electronic Hardware Engineer who researches, develops, designs, tests, maintains, and supports consumer and industrial electronic equipment by performing the following duties.

Duties/Responsibilities:
- Analyzes data to determine feasibility of product proposal.
- Researches and selects electronic components with performance, manufacturability, and product cost goals in mind.
- Prepares or directs preparation of schematics and PCB layout.
- Generates and maintains internal and customer facing engineering documentation.
- Uses simulation tools to demonstrate design intent.
- Directs engineering personnel in the design, fabrication and test of prototype models.
- Plans and develops experimental test programs.
- Uses laboratory test equipment, such as oscilloscopes and spectrum analyzers, to ensure that products meet their electrical design goals.
- Analyzes test data and reports to determine if design meets functional and performance specifications
- Selects RF components to optimize matching and tuning performance
- Produces/maintains formal documentation for the manufacture of designed products.
- Produces/maintains formal customer facing documentation
- Works closely with manufacturing to ensure a smooth design handoff.
Skills and Competencies:
- Expertise developing embedded circuits from schematic capture thru critical layout (Altium preferred), BOM specification, hardware bring-up, prototyping, and eventual production launch
- Solid broad-based knowledge of analog, digital and RF circuits
- Expertise in product lifecycle management, ERP, and document control.
Education, Experience, and Licenses/Certifications:
- Bachelor's degree (BS) from four-year college or university in Electrical Engineering; 5 -7 years industry experience
- Knowledge of schematic capture and PCB design tools (Altium preferred)
- Knowledge of the PCBA fabrication and assembly process
- Experience with battery or other low power wireless devices
- Experience designing modern analog and digital electronics
- Excellent design and manufacturing documentation skills with attention to detail
- Understanding of EMI mitigation techniques and designing for regulatory compliance (FCC, CE, UL, ATEX)
- Familiarity with test equipment such as spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, signal generators, DMMs, oscilloscopes
- Experience with i2c, SPI, USB, DDR, Flash, etc.
- Practice with RF component integration and/or antenna design/analysis is preferred
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times
