Responsibilities:
- Project Management
- Effectively manage projects and project teams to schedule and budget
- Supervise junior engineers, engineering technicians, or other technical personnel.
- Develop scope, schedule, and budgets for upcoming projects.
- Understand project goals and clearly communicate them to project teams to ensure client expectations are consistently achieved.
- Maintain healthy client relationships and possess solid operational insight for driving projects and executing deliverables.
- Stormwater System Modeling and Design
- Design stormwater management structures such as detention ponds, constructed wetlands, or green infrastructure
- Perform mathematical modeling of surface water resources, such as floodplains, streams, or stormwater conveyance systems.
- Oversee preparation of drawings and specifications, and provide markups, edits, QA/QC comments and/or suggestions.
- Knowledge/experience with ESRI Arc GIS, especially ArcGIS 10, as well as HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, FLO 2D, and SWMM.
- Collection/Distribution System Modeling
- Manage and/or conduct data collection, analysis; field-testing, system modeling, and evaluation; hydraulic system analysis; and capital improvement planning.
- Perform hydraulic modeling for multiple projects, primarily for municipal clients, analyzing and planning wastewater collection, detention, and control systems with an emphasis on computer modeling using GIS, hydraulic modeling software, databases, and spreadsheets.
- Knowledge/experience with InfoSWMM, InfoWorks CS/ICM, SewerGEMS and XPSWMM.
- Be recognized as a credible leader with strong technical experience related to the support of stormwater and water resource projects.
Minimum Qualifications:
- B.S. in Civil/Environmental Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering with relevant experience is required.
- M.S. in Civil/Environmental Engineering or Mechanical Engineering with relevant experience is preferred but not required.
- Professional (P.E.) licensure is required.
- 15-20 years of P.E. experience with stormwater planning, modeling, and design.
- Demonstrated ability to prepare high-quality reports and technical memoranda; preparation and sealing design plans and specifications; strong attention to detail.
- Strong technical background and experience in designing and modeling stormwater systems
- Proven experience in developing project plans, anticipating and addressing project issues, leading meetings with clients, and directing the completion of technical reports and designs.
