The Senior Engineer, Cloud Security architects, deploys and operates a secure cloud application infrastructure that aligns with business needs. The position is responsible for operational innovation and providing security direction to the business to elevate the company’s security posture within a cloud computing infrastructure.
Essential Functions for this role include:
- Develop and maintain secure, resilient enterprise-grade cloud processes in tandem with architects and system engineers.
- Ensure secure business applications and computing environments across public, private or hybrid cloud infrastructures.
- Protect business applications in compliance with privacy, security, business resiliency and compliance frameworks as defined in corporate policies.
- Maintain a consistent, secure environment using configuration management solutions (e.g., Puppet, Chef, Ansible, etc.). Conduct rigorous oversight of security systems and security configuration administration to reduce risk to enterprise systems and accounts.
- Develop and deploy strong identity and access management (IDAM) controls across applications and computing environments.
- Guide secure application and infrastructure configurations.
- Solution and develop tactical and strategic initiatives based on new and emerging threats posing risk to cloud computing environments.
- Document, formulate and enforce areas of security improvement that balance risk with business operations and do not diminish efficiencies or innovation.
- Stay apprised of current and proposed security changes impacting regulatory, privacy and security industry best practice guidance. Apply learned knowledge across key lines of business, including products, practices and procedures.

If you have the following skills, we encourage you to apply:
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
At least 5 years’ experience in cybersecurity as a practitioner and with at least 3 years exposure with Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure or VMware.
- Strong Linux and Windows support skills
- Knowledge of network architectures, current networking technologies and features, security requirements, application features, and other security issues
- Experience in security and systems administration across a wide variety of cloud infrastructure, including software as a service (SaaS), infrastructure as a service (IaaS) and platform as a service (PaaS)
- Strong listening and communication skills
- Familiarity with tools such as Git, Jenkins, Chef, Puppet and Salt
- Strong problem-solving skills
- IDAM experience, including OAuth
- Client-facing presentations skills and the ability to articulate requirements, findings, and guidance to personnel of various levels
- Track record of acting with integrity, taking pride in work, seeking to excel, being curious and adaptable, and communicating effectively
- Experienced in cloud networking architecture and cloud operations, with Azure cloud access security broker (CASB) experience preferred
- Network and encryption experience, including virtual private networks (VPNs), IPsec, SSL/TLS, LDAP and public key infrastructure (PKI)
- Familiarity with security solutions such as Veracode and Aqua Security, as well as tools such as Docker, Kubernetes, AWS CloudTrail and Azure Sentinel
- Experienced in the use of threat intelligence services in a production environment
- Up-to-date understanding of a wide-range of incident response, system configuration, vulnerability management and hardening guideline
