As the Senior Engineer, Dev Ops , you’ll be responsible for implementing, managing, and continuously improving the processes and tools necessary for software development, deployment, and system maintenance. You will focus on enhancing collaboration between development and operations teams to ensure efficient and reliable delivery of software products.

What you’ll do on a typical day:
- R esponsible for implementing, managing, and continuously improving the processes and tools necessary for software development, deployment, and system maintenance
- Focus on enhancing collaboration between development and operations teams to ensure efficient and reliable delivery of software products
- Design, develop, and maintain automation scripts and tools to automate various aspects of the software development and deployment pipeline, such as code integration, testing, deployment, and monitoring
- Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines to enable the seamless and automated delivery of code to production and other environments
- Manage and maintain version control systems, such as Git, and ensure proper branching strategies for code repositories
- Set up and configure monitoring and logging systems to track the health and performance of applications and infrastructure, responding to incidents promptly
- Work with containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes to manage and scale application containers
- Foster collaboration between development and operations teams, ensuring a culture of shared responsibility and effective communication
- Monitor resource utilization and perform capacity planning to ensure that systems can handle expected loads
- Maintain comprehensive documentation for configurations, procedures, and best practices
- Diagnose and resolve issues related to deployment, configuration, and infrastructure, both proactively and reactively
- Write and maintain scripts and code in various programming languages to support automation and tool development
- Responsible for all of deployment to production and Monitors, acknowledge, and responds to alerts from various systems including SolarWinds, Zabbix, Grafana, New Relic, Elastic search, and more
- Investigate performance issues in both Production and Test environments
- Proactively take steps to improve application monitoring / observability / telemetry
- Eligible for telecommuting from home within reasonable commuting distance from Charlotte, NC
What you need to succeed at RXO:
At a minimum, you’ll need:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, electronic engineering, information systems, or related technical field
- Experience must include two (2) years’ post bachelor progressive experience in the following:
- DevOps in a CI/CD environment
- Version control experience Git TFS or GitHub
- Team City and Octopus
- Java, .NET, Paython, and Power Script
- AWS, VMware, GCP, RedHut virtualization
- Fixing Infra Vulnerability
- Python & PowerShell scripting
