Find your place in technology of #TeamAmex.Join Team Amex and let’s lead the way together.American Express is looking for Senior Engineers to contribute to the company’s focus on cash-flow and digital financial products for small businesses, including American Express Business Blueprint.The products are offered to millions of small business owners to streamline actions that could help them grow their businesses, such as managing cash flow, receiving payments from customers, and acquiring business funding.What you will be doing:• Play a critical role in the development, testing and automation of new and existing features for Blueprint• Architect large-scale distributed systems that ensure Blueprint’s continued success• Work collaboratively in a cross functional team to deliver software• Be a catalyst for driving best-in-class technology practices and patterns while staying engaged with the latest technology trends• Lead, mentor and learn with other developers in all aspects of planning, development and testing• Partner with product and business stakeholders to translate user stories and requirements into working code in production• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other engineers on delivery of highly visible customer facing featuresWhat we’re looking for in you:• Proactivity: Resourceful, has grit, and a positive “can do” attitude; acts without being told what to do• Flexibility/adaptability: Is cool with rapidly changing priorities and projects• Follow-through: Follows-through on items without being managed• Calm under pressure: Ability to navigate and lead the team through high-priority last minute requests and other high stress situations; Works well under high-pressure timelines
These situations don’t happen often, but they do happen.• Analytical skills: Likes learning and learns quickly• Communication: Ability to speak clearly and with intentQualificationsSalary Range: $110,000.00 to $190,000.00 annually + bonus + benefitsThe above represents the expected salary range for this job requisition
