Overview:Honeywell CAES is seeking a Senior RF/Microwave Engineering Technician. The responsibilities are focused in the area of microwave circuit test, module alignment and subsystems test to meet development test schedules. The role will support engineering activities within a group concentrating on advanced microwave subsystems for applications including missile front ends, radar receivers, wideband tuners and synthesized sources. Duties include setting up test benches, tuning modules, testing modules, CCAs, and subsystem products and collecting and documenting test data.
Responsibilities:Responsibilities:
- Support design engineering in conducting circuit evaluation, module alignment and module and subsystems test.
- Tuning modules, testing modules, CCAs, and subsystem products, collecting and documenting test data, performing product qualifications and component lot evaluations.
- Setting up, configuring and calibrating microwave test equipment in order to complete electrical measurements on components, circuits, modules and subsystems.
Minimum:
- Associate's Degree in Electronics and/or other completed technical education and 6+ years directly related experience, including specific experience performing and documenting tuning and test results on multi-function microwave integrated circuits (MICs).
- Strong working knowledge of RF microwave test measurement with ability to set-up operation of a wide variety of test stands, both automated and manual.
- Understanding of the functions, capabilities and limitations of RF and microwave components (e.g., mixers, amplifiers, switches, limiters) and ability to measure and characterize these circuit elements.
- Familiarity and extensive experience with network analyzers, spectrum analyzers and other microwave circuit test equipment.
- Strong working knowledge of MS Excel and ability to manipulate data into documentation spreadsheets.
- This position requires access to technology, materials, software or hardware that is controlled by US export laws. In order to be eligible for this position, you must be a “US Person” under US export laws (or eligible for approval under a U.S. Government export license).
- The ability to gain and maintain Active Secret Clearance.
Preferred:
- Associate's Degree in Electronics or other completed technical education and 8+ years directly related experience, including specific experience performing and documenting tuning and test results on multi-function microwave integrated circuits (MICs).
- Proficiency in LabView programming.
- Excellent written/verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently with general supervision is required.
Salary Range: Engineering Technician IV: $38.50-$49.00 and Engineering Technician V: $46.00-$58.00. Applicable pay within the posted range may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, geographical location, job function of the position, education, and experience of the successful candidate.
