Be a leader on a dynamic team providing environmental resource identification, assessment, permitting, and mitigation for a wide variety of transportation, civil/site, and environmental projects. As part of our team, work with other professionals and technical staff to support design and permitting of major interchanges, state park projects, sidewalks and trails. Assist with management and delivery of tasks on an Environmental Open-End to support dredging tasks, culvert replacements, and other transportation maintenance projects.
Job Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will oversee field teams and natural resource surveys, technical writing, permitting and regulatory compliance activities for a variety of clients in the energy, transportation, and commercial markets. The work will involve working with and leading a dynamic team of professionals that are responsible for field work including wetland delineations, environmental inspections during construction, endangered species surveys, habitat assessments, permit preparation, report writing, and other studies. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating with clients, providing quality review and quality assurance of environmental deliverables, scheduling work to meet deadlines, and providing technical expertise for advanced permitting projects.
Position Requirements:
-BS in an Environmental, Biological or Ecological Science, or Environmental Policy;
-Experience preparing and submitting environmental permits, including USACE nationwide and Individual permits
-Experience preparing wetland mitigation designs, monitoring documents, and post-construction monitoring reports
-Experience calculating impacts and losses to Waters of the US
-Experience with delineating environmental resources and preparing delineation reports
Preferred Skills/Experience:
-PWS Certification
-Masters Degree or higher in relevant field of study
-Experience with Delaware Wetlands & Subaqueous Lands section permitting
-Experience with preparing water quality certifications and coastal zone consistency documents
-Experience with Section 408 permitting
-Experience with endangered species surveys
