Position: Senior Estimator

Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Estimator to join our team on a full-time, permanent basis. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in the growth and success of our agency by accurately estimating project costs and ensuring the profitability of our clients' projects.

Key Responsibilities:

- Analyze project plans and specifications to accurately estimate costs for materials, labor, and equipment

- Collaborate with project managers and engineers to develop detailed cost estimates

- Obtain and evaluate quotes from subcontractors and suppliers

- Review and negotiate contracts with subcontractors and suppliers

- Develop and maintain relationships with subcontractors and suppliers

- Monitor and track project costs to ensure they align with the estimated budget

- Identify potential cost-saving measures and value engineering opportunities

- Prepare and present estimates to clients in a professional manner

- Provide guidance and support to junior estimators on the team

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field combination of technical training and/or experience. High School Diploma or Equivalent.

- Minimum of 10 years of experience as an estimator in the construction industry

- Extensive knowledge of construction methods, materials, and costs

- Strong analytical and mathematical skills

- Excellent communication and negotiation skills

- Proficient in using estimating software and Microsoft Office suite

- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines

- Proven track record of successfully estimating and managing projects of varying sizes and complexity

-Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and contracts.

- Experience with value engineering and cost-saving initiatives
