Downing is seeking a talented Senior Estimator with 7+ years of estimating experience and 10+ years of construction experience in the commercial construction industry. As a Senior Estimator with Downing, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the success of our projects by accurately estimating costs and timelines.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conceptual and schematic estimating for projects ranging from $500,000 to $40,000,000 across Downing's vertical markets
• Collaborate with Clients, Municipalities, and Designers to gather project requirements and specifications
• Prepare accurate conceptual budgets based on a high level of conceptual information
• Update conceptual budgets at design development stage utilizing a combination of past cost history and subcontractor input
• Develop relationships with key vendors and subcontractors
• Manage database of projects and unit price past cost history
• Review and adjust estimates as needed based on project changes
• Potential to perform bid set estimating
• Potential estimating oversight responsibility

Qualifications:

• 7+ years of experience as an Estimator working for a General Contractor in the commercial construction industry
• 10+ years of experience working for a General Contractor in the commercial construction industry
• Strong mathematical and analytical skills
• Proficient in reading blueprints and construction drawings
• Excellent communication and negotiation abilities
• Detail-oriented and organized
