Here's how a(n) Senior Estimator for our Seattle office contributes to our team: **Responsibilities** + **Contract Analysis:** Review and analyze contract documents and specifications for various project types, including hard-bid/lump sum, construction management, and design-build. + **Scheduling:** Develop critical path schedules with milestones to ensure timely project completion. + **Quantity Take-Off:** Perform comprehensive take-offs for labor, equipment, and materials for large scopes of work. + **Pricing Leadership:** Lead the pricing strategy for general expenses and project-specific requirements for medium to large projects. + **Estimate and Buy-Out:** Prepare as-bid estimates and develop trade buy-out strategies in collaboration with the operations team. + **Client Presentations:** Assist in preparing and delivering proposals and presentations to clients. + **Risk Management:** Conduct risk and opportunity analyses to integrate into the project's risk register. + **Tender Coordination:** Collaborate with external consultants and manage the tender development process. + **Project Success Criteria:** Monitor and ensure project-specific success criteria are met, offering innovative solutions to challenges. **Qualifications** + Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent trade experience. + Gold Seal certification in estimating (CDN). + 12+ years in construction cost estimating with onsite experience preferred. + Proven experience in leading projects valued up to $250 million. + Strong understanding of construction methods, planning, and scheduling. + Extensive knowledge of bid preparation, trade procurement, and bid closing. + Expert in contract terms and identifying contract risks. + Excellent communication skills, especially oral. + Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. + Extremely flexible to manage varied workloads. + Hands-on team player who supports staff. + Mentoring approach with strong interpersonal skills. + Self-motivated and resourceful with strong organizational skills. The salary range for this position is $142,545 to $184,470 annually based on experience and background.
