BE PART OF THE CONNECTION
As the Senior Executive Producer, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the daily production of our Spanish news programming during your assigned shift. You will lead and supervise a team of shift managers, producers, writers, reporters, technical staff, and other production staff to ensure that each news story goes from concept to air. It will be your responsibility to ensure that the editorial and production values of news programming meet Spectrum Networks' high standards and drive viewership, grow the audience, and strengthen the brand. You’ll make data-informed decisions about what’s resonating to connect our audience with the stories that matter.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO SPECTRUM NEWS
Required Qualifications
- Experience: Management experience - 3+ years, experience as a senior or unit producer at a news station - 5+ years
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in journalism
- Language: Write and speak English and Spanish fluently
- Technical skills: Ability to work on issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth knowledge of organizational objectives
- Skills: Demonstrated effective interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills in English
- Abilities: Ability to communicate effectively with all levels in the organization, ability to think strategically and anticipate future trends, needs and expectations, ability to work under time pressure deadlines
- Travel Ability: Must be open to travel to discover the important stories in your neighborhood and willing to interact with the community
- Schedule: Ability to work various shifts, longer shifts, weekends and holidays, and be flexible with schedule changes due to "breaking news", and/or severe weather emergencies
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree
- National news experience preferred
Working Conditions:
- Works primarily inside a climate-controlled environment throughout the year but might be assigned field duties on occasion
- Requires long periods of personal computer use and telephone communications
- Works in an open newsroom setting with a semi-noisy environment
- Communicates in person, by phone and by email
- Works different shifts or longer shifts due to "breaking news" and severe weather emergencies. Willing and able to work weekends and holidays
- Materials and equipment used: various studio and newsgathering television equipment, computers and computer-related equipment
- Sits for long periods of time
- Must be able to distinguish colors and discern sounds
- May be required to lift up to 5 pounds

The base pay for this position generally is between $96,300.00 and $205,100.00. The actual compensation offered will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. We comply with local wage minimums and also, certain positions are eligible for additional forms of other incentive-based compensation such as bonuses.
