EyePoint is seeking an experienced Senior Facilities Technician to support a growing life science facility located in Northbridge, MA. The individual in this position functions as a key central team member of the Facilities and Engineering team overseeing vendors and self-performed maintenance on cGMP and non-GMP Utility/Facility systems, process equipment and clean room infrastructure.

This position will report directly to the Manager of Facilities and Maintenance.

Responsibilities:Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
Individual responsibilities
- Complies with cGMP requirements to include detailed documentation of work performed in both electronic and written form.
- Reports any maintenance failure or issues immediately to management.
- Evaluates equipment performance and makes recommendations to maintenance performance or system design.
- Seeks to continuously improve maintenance practices.
- Troubleshoots systems or equipment and makes repairs to minimize downtime.
- Tracks repair history of process support systems and equipment.
- Provides needed support for the diagnostics of all equipment to ensure continuous operations.
- Knowledge of working within BMS system.
- Provides support during annual shutdowns.
- Develops a list of required spare parts for equipment while performing work.
- Routine performance of preventive maintenance on process support systems and equipment including but not limited to: Pumps, Valves, Autoclaves, BSC’s, RODI Generation/Distribution, Compressed Air System, pH Neutralization System, Facility Life Safety and Emergency Response systems/equipment, and HVAC equipment.
- Conducts daily rounds of cGMP and non-GMP equipment and systems.
- Develops, maintains, and improves facility maintenance practices and SOPs.
- Escorts contractors and vendors for the performance of preventative maintenance and repairs on process support systems.
- Ensures all spaces are clean and orderly.
- Utilizes CMMS system to manage the completion of all preventative maintenance assignments.
- Supports quality systems for CAPA, Deviations and Change Management.
- Commits to performing all work in a safe manner.

Primary skills and knowledge required include, but are not limited to the following:
- Mechanical skills to trouble shoot equipment and implement repairs.
- Organizational skills to plan, coordinate, and complete all required maintenance activities.
- Analytical skills to analyze equipment performance and identify optimization.
Physical Demands:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. as needed.

- Experience in life sciences, medical devices, or regulated industry.
- Physically capable of performing cGMP gowning activities and utilizing personal protective equipment (including respiratory protection) in the performance of job functions.
- Ability to respond to site emergencies and support the site Emergency Action and Contingency Plan.
Level of Education Required:
- High school diploma with technical certifications or vocational training.
- License in any of the following areas: Wastewater Treatment, Refrigeration/Air Conditioning, Electrical, or Plumbing.
Preferred Field of Study:
- Industrial Maintenance, Technology Management, Engineering or related field.
Number of Years of Experience in the Function and in the Industry:
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a facility maintenance function.
