Children’s Center for Neurosciences Research (CCNR), a joint entity within Emory University School of Medicine and Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, is seeking faculty members at the Associate Professor or Professor level who are pioneering independent research programs in translationally relevant neuroscience. Physician-scientists are encouraged to apply, and an MD and/or PhD is required.
We seek candidates studying underlying mechanisms and potential treatments for neurologic disorders affecting children. Areas of particular interest include neuroimmunology, brain tumor biology, neurobiology of epilepsy, and neurogenetics. Approaches that capitalize on big data, immune modulation, or cell-based therapies are encouraged. The candidate is expected to bring an innovative, externally funded research program and to engage in multidisciplinary teams.
Faculty appointment will be in the Division of Neurology in the Department of Pediatrics within Emory University School of Medicine. We offer a highly interactive collegial research environment with state-of-the-art facilities, as well as proximity to and collaborations with Georgia Institute of Technology, Morehouse School of Medicine, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Emory Brain Health Center, the Goizueta Institute @Emory Brain Health, and Emory National Primate Research Center.
