We are on the hunt for a dynamic and experienced Senior Fermentation Engineer to join our fast-paced, innovative scientific team. This is an opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology and contribute to the development and enhancement of fermentation, recovery, and formulation processes. As a Senior Fermentation Engineer, you will be part of a team that is dedicated to advancing the scientific industry and making a positive impact on the world.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage fermentation projects from conception to completion, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality results.
- Design, develop and optimize microbial fermentation processes and devices to enhance product yield and quality.
- Implement Six Sigma methodology for process improvement and problem-solving.
- Perform root cause analysis to troubleshoot and resolve issues related to fermentation processes.
- Develop and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's) for fermentation and related processes.
- Conduct chemical analysis to monitor and control fermentation processes.
- Work closely with the cell therapy team to develop and optimize cell-based fermentation processes.
- Implement fermentation quality control measures to ensure consistency and adherence to industry standards.
- Collaborate with the agriculture team to develop and optimize fermentation processes for crop treatment.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in fermentation technology and incorporate them into our processes.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Biochemical Engineering, Microbiology, or a related field. A Master's degree or Ph.D. is preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role within the scientific industry.
- Proven experience in microbial fermentation, fermentation device design, and fermentation quality control.
- Strong knowledge of Six Sigma methodology and its application in process improvement.
- Experience in cell therapy and agricultural fermentation processes.
- Proficient in chemical analysis and root cause analysis.
- Ability to develop and implement SOP's.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex process issues.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to lead and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- A team player with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
