COMPANY is seeking a well-motivated and enthusiastic Senior Field Service Engineer. The Senior Field Service Engineer is responsible for providing services that meet the premium standards of the equipment that COMPANY supports and align with the high-quality expectations of customers in the pharmaceutical manufacturing industry.
The role will include, but is not limited to, technical support, installation, commissioning, qualification, validation, maintenance, and calibrations while maintaining long-term customer relationships and trust, and delivering assignments within budget in a timely manner.
The applicant must be willing to travel up to 50%+ of the time to client sites throughout the US and perform duties at company offices between site visits. Responsibilities:
Support of COMPANY-supported process support equipment including:
Customer technical support & troubleshooting
Preventative & corrective maintenance site visits
Assembly and commissioning in a GMP environment
GMP qualification, including SAT, IQ & OQ
Supervision of junior and apprentice technicians on-site
Build and sustain effective communication with clients by staying knowledgeable about service activities, including maintenance schedules, and delivering service proposals. Leverage product and industry knowledge to exceed customer service expectations. Maintain a collaborative attitude and professional appearance when interacting with customers, contractors, management, and colleagues. When relevant, assist customers by identifying the need for COMPANY equipment solutions in the customer manufacturing process. Work closely with the COMPANY sales group to pass on leads and potential opportunities. Follow customer protocols and standard operating procedures (SOP) when entering and exiting facilities and adhere to all COMPANY and customer health and safety guidelines.
Carry out assigned administrative duties including:
Site work planning & scheduling
Internal and customer-facing service reports
Relevant expense reports
Maintenance and development of service-related SOPs
Use of a CRM [Salesforce®] will be required, although training can be provided
Attend and contribute towards client factory acceptance tests (FAT). This will require European travel.

Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree, preferably with STEM concentration, or the equivalent in relevant work experience
Ability to troubleshoot, repair, or refurbish standard and special purpose equipment and systems components
Proficiency with understanding electro-mechanical drawings including: Running Process Diagrams, Pneumatic Diagrams, and Wiring Diagrams
Basic understanding of digital input/output, PLCs, and HMIs
Valid US Driver’s License. Travel to clients’ sites via car and air is expected. The volume of travel fluctuates but is commonly 50%. The territory is North America; however, some limited European travel may be required. Travel is predominantly on weekdays, however, may very occasionally extend into the weekend
Must be authorized to work in the US without company sponsorship, have a passport (or be able to acquire one), and are not restricted for international travel
