Senior Financial Accountant - TD Williamson

Overview:

Contribute to the TDW finance team by being accountable for recording financial accounting entries, tracking existing fixed assets, recording depreciation, accounting for the disposition of fixed assets, reconciling general ledger accounts, and reconciling intercompany transactions. This position will also have responsibility for preparing various financial reports and reviewing financial activity monthly and quarterly for completeness .

Responsibilities

• Prepares and posts monthly journal entries - both recurring and ad hoc.
• Generates standard recurring and ad-hoc supplementary reports to the financial statements, e.g. monitoring, tracking and reporting of capital expenditures.
• Reconciles various general ledger accounts, across multiple companies.
• Identifies opportunities for improvement in the operating and financial results.
• Participates in the global annual audit, including consolidated and segment variance explanations.
• Ensures compliance with corporate policies and procedures and local legal requirements.
• Ensures the reconciliation of the global intercompany balances between TDW entities.
• Participates in special projects, as the need arises.
• Provides external audit support in the fixed asset, lease accounting, and other areas as needed.
• Works with operations to reconcile accounting records to service fleet records.
• Conduct physical fixed asset audits.
• Prepares monthly lease accounting entries, quarterly reporting and year-end disclosures.
• Leads the effort to identify hidden leases globally as required.
• Coordinates with project managers to discuss monthly activity in comparison to project budgets.
• Records daily banking activities across multiple companies.

Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or equivalent required.
• CPA or MBA preferred, but not required .
• 7+ years of experience in corporate accounting and financial reporting.
• Experience with ASC 842 Lease Accounting desired .
• Strong technical accounting skills.
• Must be detail oriented.
• Experience with detailed intercompany transactions and AFE/Capital accounting preferred.
• Ability to understand overall business operations and perform analytical reviews.
• Must be a self-starter, be deadline driven and able to work with minimal supervision.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work well within a team and with all levels of employees as well as the ability to lead meetings with business partners.
• Proficient in the use of reporting and consolidation software packages and Microsoft Office Suite (including advanced spreadsheet applications).
• Experience with AX, WSGP and Sage, and CoStar or other third-party lease accounting applications preferred, but not required.
