About the Job
This position will join the Smartaira Finance & Accounting team with the primary responsibility of assisting the Controller/VP Finance with reporting, forecasting, and budgeting across the organization. The key responsibilities include supporting month end close, financial reporting, forecasting, budgeting, and supporting the analysis of each project.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Support the Finance & Accounting month end close, reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and planning.
- Prepare and distribute monthly reports detailing key performance indicators.
- Review reports with cross functional stakeholders and management team.
- Continually drive process improvements in the financial reporting process.
- Analyze and forecast working capital requirements.
- Drive the budgeting and forecasting process.
- Design reporting to track performance against prior year, forecast, and budget.
- Analyze detailed financial statement information including balance sheet, income statement, and key operational data to help drive operational performance.
- Conduct ad hoc analysis as business needs arise.
- Develop reporting to track CapEx and paybacks on investments.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Education & Experience
- Undergraduate degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in either finance or accounting fields.
- Experience in Telecommunications preferred but not required.
- Previous Financial Planning & Analysis experience preferred.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word a must.
- Ability to pull data out of many locations to develop seamless reporting.
- Excellent verbal and written skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Comfortable communicating with all levels of the organization.
- Team player who can succeed in a fast-paced, private equity backed organization.
