We are looking for a highly motivated individual for the role of Senior Financial Analyst to be the strategic finance business partner within Abiomed Supply Chain Finance group. This position will report to the US Plant Controller in Abiomed Finance and will play a key role in managing and analyzing financial data related to inventory, scrap, and cycle counts.

Responsibilities
• Monitor, analyze, and report on inventory balances for the Abiomed US Locations.
• Perform regular reviews of inventory to identify slow-moving, obsolete, and excess items.
• Work closely with supply chain, operations, and procurement teams to identify opportunities to reduce obsolete stock and manage inventory levels effectively.
• Coordinate and manage regular cycle count processes to ensure accurate inventory records.
• Track and report scrap and waste material costs, including root cause analysis for variances.
• Perform detailed aging analysis of GR/IR accounts to identify long-outstanding items. Collaborate with stakeholders to address these aged balances and close open items.
• Prepare regular PPV reports for management, highlighting significant variances and trends.
• Work closely with procurement teams to identify the root causes of PPV.
• Assist in preparing monthly and quarterly financial reports.
• Analyze variances between actuals and forecasts expense spending, providing actionable insights.
• Participate in annual budget preparation.• A minimum of a bachelor's degree is required, preferably in Business, Finance or Accounting
• 3 years of accounting, finance or related business experience is required.
• Strong analytical, technical, and problem-solving skills
• Proven ability to work independently and appropriately plan, prioritize, and communicate progress on multiple deliverables in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency to network, collaborate and generate consensus effectively in a complex environment, possessing strong social skills, promoting inclusion, and building trusting relationships with business partners across all cultures and levels of the organization.
• Demonstrate a global and enterprise-wide mindset.
