The Senior Financial Analyst is responsible for providing in-depth financial analysis, forecasting, and reporting to support strategic decision-making. This role entails close collaboration with various departments to ensure that financial performance is optimized and aligned with company goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze financial reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and regulations.
- Budgeting and Forecasting: Manage the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts, providing insights and recommendations based on financial analysis.
- Data Management: Manage and maintain financial data, including transaction records, reconciliations, and documentation, ensuring data accuracy and completeness.
- Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams to support financial planning, analysis, and reporting needs. Provide financial insights and support to various departments.
- Vendor Management: Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes, including vendor management, invoice processing, and payment scheduling.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Experience: 5+ years of experience as a financial analyst, or related finance/accounting role.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with financial software and systems (e.g., ERP systems, Excel). Strong understanding of financial principles and accounting practices, including Financial Systems, Data Management, and complex Modeling. Understanding of GAAP accounting processes, procedures, and internal controls.
- Leadership: Proven ability to work successfully in a team-based environment and lead others
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with all levels and functions of the organization, including senior leadership
- Work Ethic: High energy, self-starter, and results oriented. Motivation to continuously learn, be challenged, and stretch the boundaries of an analyst’s role. Ability to work under deadlines, while multitasking and paying attention to detail. Ability to quickly learn systems and independently prepare, analyze, and report financial data for key business decisions
- Must be able to obtain a Secret and/or a TS/SCI clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Education: Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- Experience: 6+ years of experience in finance operations or accounting roles, with experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
- Advanced Skills: Expertise in financial analysis and reporting, with experience in process improvement and optimization.
- Certifications: Relevant certifications (e.g., CPA, CMA) are highly desirable.
- Industry Experience: Experience in aerospace or technology sectors, particularly in managing financial operations for high-tech or mission-critical systems.
- Systems Knowledge: Familiarity with advanced financial software and systems, including business intelligence tools and data analytics platforms.
