Senior Financial Analyst - Manufacturing
Location: Kansas City, Kansas (No relocation assistance, but sign-on bonus potential)
Compensation: $80,000 - $100,000
Responsibilities:
- Prepare, maintain, and distribute sophisticated financial reports for internal stakeholders.
- Run queries and manipulate data for project analysis and financial reporting.
- Develop, analyze, and maintain actual financial cost reports to ensure alignment with company goals.
- Provide financial insights and recommendations to support directors, the controller, and the management team.
- Participate in month-end close, budgeting, and forecasting processes.
- Assist with annual physical inventory audits to ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Identify process improvement opportunities and collaborate with teams to drive operational efficiency.
- Ensure accuracy of Bills of Materials (BOM) by working closely with Production Control, and audit to reflect updated manufacturing practices.
- Analyze variances between actual labor, material, and overhead costs against budgets, and provide timely variance reports.
- Increase productivity by developing automated financial processes and streamlining information workflows.
- Support the plant controller in maintaining strong internal controls for finance and operations.
- Conduct ad hoc financial analysis and respond to special requests from management.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance or a related business field required.
- 3-5 years of experience in financial analysis, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of business finance, budgeting, and analytics.
- Ability to present complex data in a clear format to non-financial stakeholders at all organizational levels.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate within a team.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
- Experience with JDE, Hyperion Essbase, and Tableau is a plus.
- Manufacturing experience required.
- Ability to travel to plants as needed.
