Summary - basic function of the role
The Senior Financial Analyst (FP&A) is a key contributor to the financial planning, reporting and analysis function within the Corporate finance team. Reporting to the FP&A Manager, primary responsibilities consolidation of month-end results, publication of monthly financial statements, supporting schedules and accumulating budget/forecast data. This person will also play a key role in providing business partnership to Enerpac's global functional leaders, including HR, IT, Engineering, Marketing and General Management. This role is critical in the internal financial reporting processes, in addition to providing support to other team members with various ad hoc financial data requests.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work with FP&A Manager to lead and coordinate Enerpac's budgeting and forecasting processes.
- Maintain internal control environment within FP&A, participate in the creation of monthly Management Book, press release financial statements and quarterly Analyst Book (accumulation of various data analysis).
- Provide assistance with acquisition integration activities, as needed.
- Provide insights and recommendations to key business partners to help maximize business results
- Perform ad-hoc reporting and trend analysis.
- This highly-visible role will require regular communication with the Corporate Controller, Segment/Business Unit Finance teams and the Corporate finance teams (tax, treasury, and internal audit).
- Prepare and submit results of various government requests including annual surveys, annual/quarterly finance forms (separate from SEC Filings handled by the Corporate accounting team).
- Drive process improvements to make FP&A workflow more efficient and effective. Have a continuous improvement mindset.
- Coordinate projects with interns and support staff in India.
Required Capabilities:
·Bachelor's degree in accounting with 5-7 years of relevant work experience.
·Demonstrated ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced team-oriented environment.
·Project management skills are required.
·Proficient electronic spreadsheet, database and word processing software skills are required, preferably Microsoft Office (Excel, Word and Power Point) applications.
·Strong interpersonal communication and group presentation skills required.
·Able to handle confidential information.
·Dedicated team member with the ability to drive projects through to completion.
