The _Senior Financial Analyst_ reports to a Sr. Manager, Brand Finance and will partner with the brand management, sales planning, and operations finance teams to drive profitable growth for the business. This role will be responsible for sales & profitability forecasting and reporting & analysis of brand financial results. The role will also support each brand’s long-term strategic plan, select product pricing and coordination of deal approvals. The ability to effectively work across multiple business functions is critical to the success of this position.
Specific Responsibilities
+ Prepare forecasts and analysis of Net Sales and Product Margin partnering with Brand and Sales teams to help bridge Demand Plan to Forecast.
+ Review proposed promotional activities and give recommendation based on Segment strategic and financial goals.
+ Develop reporting and analytics of product/customer profitability to support the brand management organization and portfolio management initiatives.
+ Support new product development financial modeling.
+ Assist in preparation of the annual sales plan and long-term strategic plan.
+ Assist with month-end and quarter-end close activities including variance commentary and reporting.
+ Ability to manage multiple priorities, as timeline to action may be tight and require significant cross-functional coordination.
+ Strong business acumen and ability to share business knowledge with non-financial individuals.
+ Ad hoc projects as assigned.
The Candidate
Key Qualifications:
+ Strong analytical skills.
+ Undergraduate degree in Accounting, Finance or Business.
+ 3 - 5 years of relevant finance experience, preferably in Consumer-Packaged Goods (CPG)
+ Proficiency in MS Office applications (Access, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.), computer literate.
+ Experience with SAP and Oracle/Hyperion planning systems strongly preferred.
+ Excellent oral and written communication skills.
+ Self-motivated in achieving goals and completing routine tasks.
+ Ability to work as part of a team and interface with others across all levels of the organization.
