As a Senior Financial Analyst – Transportation/Logistics you will have companywide impact improving and creating new measures for business effectiveness, utilizing data mining tools to develop creative solutions, and maximizing results for key stakeholders. With your transportation/logistics insight you will develop, update and monitor key performance indicators and key financial metrics or dashboards, highlighting trends and analyzing variances, to understand and communicate the financial landscape.
HERE’S A TASTE OF WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
- Collaborating Across Teams – Interact with business unit, corporate finance and plant finance teams to provide guidance around reports, analytics, strategic plans, business plans and targets. Working with business partners, you will report, monitor and manage key financial and non-financial performance indicators that drive us toward even better outcomes.
- Scrutinizing Business Data – Perform complex economic and financial research and analyses as assigned for use in financial business decisions and development of business strategies. Your technical skills will produce sharp insights that the competition will wish they thought of!
- Be A Solutionist – Lead the completion of ad-hoc questions and resolve issues. We’ll look to you to review and translate assumptions to financial budgets or forecasts for review by management.
- Offering Nimble Guidance – Proactively recommend updates to budgets and forecasts as you help identify ways to close gaps and meet challenges. Your attention to detail will ensure timely and accurate monthly financial closing and reporting that facilitates the submission of key results and reviews to global and business unit leadership.
YOUR RECIPE FOR SUCCESS
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, business or a related field and related experience
- Strong analytical, problem solving, decision making and communication skills and detail orientation and is comfortable with ambiguity.
- Proficient knowledge of ERP and other financial planning systems (e.g. SAP) a PLUS
