POSITION TITLE: Senior Frontend Engineer
DURATION: Through 6/2/25 (potential for extension)
100% REMOTE
Pay Rate: $126.38/hr on W2
Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-level web applications using React and Next.js.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including backend engineers, designers, and product managers to deliver efficient, scalable, and user-friendly solutions.
Utilize the Vitest framework to write, automate, and maintain unit and integration tests for React components.
Optimize components for maximum performance across a vast array of web-capable devices and browsers.
Ensure application responsiveness, security, and maintainability.
Apply best practices in Test-Driven Development (TDD) and Continuous Integration workflows to ensure code quality and reliability.
Participate in code reviews and mentor junior developers on best practices.
Stay updated on emerging trends and technologies in front-end development to continuously improve the application and development process.
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (including computational, numerate or life sciences), or equivalent experience
Proficiency in React.js: Minimum 3+ years of professional experience in developing complex web applications using React.
Next.js expertise: Familiarity with server-side rendering (SSR) and static site generation (SSG) using Next.js.
Vitest Framework: Hands-on experience with Vitest for writing unit, integration, and snapshot tests.
Testing Knowledge: Solid understanding of testing practices, with Test-Driven Development (TDD) being a strong plus.
HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (ES6+), and TypeScript: Strong knowledge of front-end technologies and language features.
Component-Based Architecture: Familiarity with reusable UI components and efficient state management in large-scale applications.
Version Control: Proficient in Git, Git workflows, and CI/CD tools.
Familiarity with RESTful APIs and GraphQL.
Experience working in an Agile development environment.
