Requisition Summary
The Senior General Accountant is a key member of the PACCAR Parts General Accounting team responsible for the accounting and reconciliation of various intercompany accounts, reserves for doubtful accounts, payroll bank account, dealer training and other miscellaneous cross-border accounts. The position interacts frequently with accounting contacts in other PACCAR Divisions in North America and worldwide. Additionally, this position performs and/or assists with distribution center statistical inventory counts, internal control reviews and Sarbanes-Oxley documentation.
The position will report to the General Accounting Supervisor.
Job Functions / Responsibilities
This position is responsible for:
+ Recording and reconciliation of various PACCAR Parts division intercompany accounts working directly with other PACCAR Division contacts monthly.
+ Accounting and reconciliation of various other accounts such as payroll bank account, fleet clearing, dealer training, cross-border clearing, miscellaneous accounts payable and reserve for doubtful accounts.
+ Performing various month-end close duties including preparation of journal entries for various balance sheets accounts and related positive intercompany confirmations within established deadlines ensuring confirmed balances agree to PACCAR Parts division balances.
+ Preparation and compilation of financial schedules for month-end reporting and inclusion in the monthly internal management report as applicable.
+ Recording and maintaining periodic cash receipts/transfers for PACCAR Parts division related to intercompany accounts including proper coding of interdivision accounting advice notifications.
+ Researching and providing intercompany transactions supporting documentation to PACCAR Divisions and other interested parties such as external and internal auditors as requested.
+ Monitoring all intercompany account balances for compliance with intercompany transactions policy regarding aging and settlement requirements.
+ Ensuring all required monthly intercompany invoices are distributed to other PACCAR Divisions within established deadlines.
+ Participating in internal control documentation and testing for distribution centers, Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) and the Internal Control Assessment Program.
+ Coordinating requests for internal and external auditors during quarterly review processes and/or other annual audit reviews as applicable.
+ Completing other various projects including system implementation projects and special analysis as assigned.
Qualifications
SKILLS REQUIRED:
+ Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; including effective written and verbal skills and the ability to work in a team environment. Position requires frequent coordination and negotiation with numerous groups within PACCAR divisions.
+ Strong analytical and computer skills in Excel (i.e. pivot tables, macros, charts and graphs) and data analytic tools (i.e. Tableau, SQL, Alteryx etc.).
+ Self-motivated problem solver with ability to work independently and under pressure with deadlines, handling multiple tasks and/or projects and shifting priorities.
+ Positive attitude and "can-do" approach to issue resolution.
EDUCATION/TRAINING REQUIRED:
+ Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
+ 1+ years relevant work experience in Accounting or Finance
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE DESIRED:
+ CPA or advanced degree preferred
+ Experience with SAP FICO, SQL and data visualization tools such as Tableau, Alteryx
+ Public accounting and industry experience with multinational publicly traded company preferred
+ Must be able to travel periodically within the US and internationally

Salary Range:
At PACCAR, we value talent and promote growth and development. We carefully consider numerous compensation factors including your education, training, or experience. The salary range for this position is $65,500 - $89,760 annually. Additionally, this role is eligible for the full range of benefit options listed above.
