What You’ll Contribute to C2AE?

• As a highly talented GIS Analyst, you will be faced with challenging GIS projects in the fields of Engineering and Architecture. The individual must be able to demonstrate established knowledge in field data collection, GIS principles, cartography, and / or geospatial data management.

Essential Skills & Abilities

• Ability to teach and train internal users with basic to advanced GIS operations.
• Basic understanding of CAD.
• Knowledge of Local/State/Federal/NGO data sources.
• Desire to network and be involved in the local and state GIS community.
• Advanced understanding of data collection and GIS for asset management.
• Advanced understanding of data management, QAQC processes, and data integrity.
• Basic understanding of Engineering and Construction especially in the water and wastewater.
• Basic understanding of indoor mapping.
• Ability to communicate with people of diverse backgrounds and knowledge of GIS.
• Sets up data and maps for field data collection.
• Researches Python scripting to leverage the advantages of python code.
• Converts data from GIS to CAD and other formats.
• Processes data into DEMs for CAD backgrounds/surfaces to understand how to make LIDAR data easier to use without sacrificing data integrity and accuracy.

Education/Experience Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) or related field. A focus on GIS is preferred.
• 8 or more years of experience in GIS is desired.
• Experience in AutoCAD is desired, but not required.
• Experience with ArcGIS Software (Desktop, Pro, Online) and Mobile Mapping Applications (Field Maps) is required.
• Knowledge of GPS/GNSS technology.
• Experience in generating map products and an understanding of cartographic principles.
• Desire to learn new technologies & methodologies in the GIS field.
• Attention to detail and problem-solving capabilities with an emphasis on safe work methods.
• ArcGIS Pro experience preferred

Work Environment:

• Ability to sit for prolonged periods of time.
• Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time.
• Physical dexterity and ability to negotiate around a crowded and busy working office area, and around a crowded and busy working area, including construction sites.
