About the Job
When you work as a Sr Technician in Analytical Instrumentation at KCAS Bio, you are an important member of a team that are responsible for the operation, calibration, and maintenance of analytical instruments used in scientific experiments and data analysis. You will help to ensure the accuracy and precision of the instruments, troubleshoot any issues that may arise, and perform routine maintenance tasks.
Our Pharma Discovery lab team uses their expertise to perform fast turnaround on client ideas at the earliest stages of the research process, including testing new drug molecular structures or delivery mechanisms .

In this role, we will rely on you to:
- Provide maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting of UHPLC, Mass Spectrometry, hybrid, and other instrumentation
- Have in-depth knowledge of hardware theory of operation
- Recognize instrumentation performance degradation or poor results and assist in minimizing instrument downtime.
- Assist in trending and tracking instrument performance and train others to properly use the above instrumentation.
- Participate in a rigorous and organized maintenance program
- Help Maintain a searchable track record of repairs, maintenance issues, lessons learned, etc.
- Perform in-depth robust instrument performance characterization
- Proactively update users on the status of instrumentation through online scheduling and other forms of electronic communications.
- Learn unique assay specific instrument setups
- Assist in training other Technicians and or operators.
- Educate others in the proper use of instrumentation for training and re-training of staff
- Proactively update instrument conditions on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis for the appropriate categories
- Performs other job-related duties as requested
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
To qualify specifically for this role, you will have:
- Formal training in science or engineering sciences
- Minimum of 6 years of prior experience with high-end analytical instrumentation
- Customer focused approach to work
- Maintain a positive attitude during high workflow activities
- Demonstrated analytical instrumentation training through education and or work experience
- High organizational skill
