Summary
The Human Resource Generalist is responsible for performing HR-related duties on a professional level and works closely with senior HR management in supporting designated geographic regions. In alignment with Company's corporate Human Resources, the HR Generalist carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas: Employee Relations, Training, Onboarding, Policy Adherence, Employment Law Compliance and Mergers and Acquisition support.
HR Administration
• Provide assistance and follow-up on company policies, procedures, and documentation.
• Handles employee relations and escalates to management as appropriate.
• Manages the HR Support Ticketing System and monthly reports. Identifies and elevates issue trends
• Respond to verification of employment requests.
• New Hire onboarding, including verifying employees through E-Verify.
• Administers and tracks 30/60/90-day reviews and assist with Performance Appraisal processes.
• Manages personnel files in accordance with Records Management policy and procedure.
• Maintains compliance with federal, state and local employment and benefits laws and regulations.
• Recommends new approaches, policies and procedures to continually improve efficiency of the department and services performed.
• Support M&A integrations with onboarding employees, benefits, communication plans, and overall implementation plans for standardizing HR functions.
• Assist with maintaining OSHA logs, First Report of Injury processing and reporting for vendor requirements.
• Works closely with Safety Manager to facilitate safety training and tracking.
• Provide a dedicated and effective HR advisory service to employees that covers leave of absence, conduct, grievances, organizational change, and all other employee-relations matters.
• Lead investigations and communicate any needed disciplinary actions.
• Handle all administrative tasks for onboarding, new-hire orientations, and exit interviews, including data entry in human resources information systems (HRIS) and audits for accuracy and compliance
• Support company-wide team building activities.
Required Education and Experience
• Associate's degree in Human Resources, Accounting, or Business Administration.
• HR Certification with a minimum of two to five years of experience in the HR field, or any similar combination of education and experience.
• Experience working in a fast-paced, high-growth environment with constantly changing priorities.
• Drive self-starter; can juggle multiple projects and priorities resourcefully and at pace.
• Strong customer service work ethic and a creative, resourceful mindset
• Solid facilitation and communication skills; able to engage a variety of audiences on a variety of topics
