We are currently seeking a hands-on, experienced Senior Human Resources Generalist to oversee all aspects of Recruitment, Benefits and Employee Relations for its 500 employees across the country. With both remote and hybrid work schedules, this full-time, salaried position must be on their toes and highly organized. Job Responsibilities:
The Senior HR Generalist implements HR policies and programs with emphasis on discretion, organization, and continuous process improvement to deliver all aspects of Human Resources in an efficient and exceptional way. This position ensures that the organization is in full compliance with all applicable labor laws and regulations.
Duties:
- Develops corporate plans for a variety of HR matters such as compensation, benefits, health and safety.
- Oversees all HR initiatives, systems and tactics.
- Anticipates and resolves litigation risks.
- Reports to senior management with timely and accurate data using HR metrics.
- Manage full cycle recruitment, both passive and active, for a wide variety of exempt and nonexempt positions.
- Works with leadership team to screen and interview candidates; writes job descriptions, conducts reference checking; extends job offers; conducts new employee orientations; conducts employee relations counseling.
- Plans, directs and supervises all activities relating to administration and maintenance of payroll changes and employee benefits programs.
- Assists in PTO administration, including leave management programs and workers compensation.
- Administers benefits programs, including serving as primary contract with providers (including group health and life), workers' compensation, unemployment and retirement plans.
- Develops and administers various human resources plans and procedures for all company personnel.
- Develops, recommends and implements personnel policies and procedures.
- Develops and maintains affirmative action program; files EEO-1 annually; maintains other records, reports and logs to conform to EEO regulations.
- Recommends new approaches, policies and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of department and services performed.
- Ensures compliance with all federal, state and local employment laws
Knowledge & Skill Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business or a related field required
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience working in Human Resources Generalist role
- SPHR or PHR certification desirable
- Expertise in multiple State and Federal employee regulations and standards
- Experience working and integrating various HRIS systems
- Paylocity, ADP or Paychex experience
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills; excellent follow-up skills
- Strong attention to detail and organization
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Expertise working with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and HRIS related programs
- Ability to write general business correspondence, and communicate with clients, vendors, and employees
