We are seeking an experienced Senior Illustration Business Analyst to provide internal consulting support for the development and deployment of an illustration system. This role involves close collaboration with teams across Actuarial, Marketing, New Business, ITS, Legal, and other departments to define and document business requirements, translating them into actionable technical specifications. The Senior Illustration Business Analyst will also lead testing and troubleshooting efforts to ensure system accuracy and provide guidance to junior analysts on best practices.
Responsibilities
- Train and mentor junior analysts, providing feedback and motivation to foster growth.
- Gather and document user requirements for the illustration system, identifying issues, decisions, and necessary changes to meet desired results.
- Create and maintain technical specifications and documentation, ensuring business and legal approval.
- Develop report models using actuarial test systems, Excel, and Word to support requirements and validate outcomes.
- Conduct Unit, System, and Acceptance testing, developing test scripts, plans, and scenarios to verify functionality, including regression testing.
- Track, review, and report on test results to ensure system accuracy.
- Support the development of training materials, provide end-user support, and assist in creating user manuals and reference guides.
- Gather feedback to address issues in future releases or versions of the product.
Skills
- Strong understanding of individual life insurance and annuity products, compliance regulations, insurance taxation, and product marketing.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to simplify technical information for non-technical audiences.
- Strong teamwork, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage time effectively to meet tight deadlines and track issues to successful resolution.
- High level of attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and handle projects with a broad company-wide scope.
- Advanced math skills.
Preferred Skills
- Familiarity with long-term care insurance, disability income insurance, and quality assurance methods.
- Experience with spreadsheet software, word processing, issue-tracking tools (e.g., Team Track), actuarial test systems, and illustration software.
- Proficiency in actuarial test systems and illustration software, such as Navigator.
Additional Details
The base range for this is 105k - 115k salary, depending on experience.
Our pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hires of this position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
