Job Overview
As a Senior Insights Lead at our cutting-edge innovation agency, you will play a pivotal role in driving the development of breakthrough products and solutions for consumer, healthcare, and industrial markets. You will be responsible for leading qualitative and industrial insights efforts, working closely with a cross-functional team that includes industrial designers, engineers, and marketing leads. Your expertise will guide the discovery of market opportunities, customer needs, and industry trends, ensuring that our innovations are grounded in deep, actionable insights.
Key Responsibilities
Qualitative Research Leadership:
- Lead the design and execution of qualitative research studies, including ethnographic research, in-depth interviews, focus groups, and workshops.
- Analyze and synthesize qualitative data to uncover deep insights into customer behavior, needs, and pain points.
Industrial Insights Expertise:
- Conduct comprehensive research on industrial markets, emerging technologies, competitive landscapes, and regulatory environments.
- Identify and track industry trends, innovations, and disruptions that could impact our clients' markets and product strategies.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Work closely with industrial designers, engineers, and marketing leads to ensure that insights are effectively integrated into product development and marketing strategies.
- Facilitate ideation sessions and workshops to translate insights into actionable design and business strategies.
Strategic Guidance:
- Develop strategic recommendations based on insights to guide product development, innovation roadmaps, and market entry strategies.
- Present insights and strategic recommendations to senior leadership and clients, clearly articulating the business implications of your findings.
Client Engagement:
- Partner with clients to understand their business challenges and objectives, tailoring research approaches to meet their needs.
- Act as a trusted advisor to clients, providing expert insights that drive innovation and competitive advantage.
Reporting & Communication:
- Create compelling reports, presentations, and visual storytelling that effectively communicate insights to both internal teams and clients.
- Ensure insights are accessible, actionable, and inspire the teams to create innovative solutions that meet market demands.
Requirements
Experience:
- 5+ years of experience in insights or research roles, with a focus on qualitative and industrial insights.
- Proven track record of leading successful insights projects in an innovation, product development, or industrial context.
- Consulting experience is a plus.
Skills:
- Strong expertise in qualitative research methodologies, including ethnography, in-depth interviews, and user-centered design research.
- Deep knowledge of industrial markets, technologies, and trends, with the ability to translate this knowledge into strategic insights.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence and inspire cross-functional teams and clients.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to synthesize complex data into clear, actionable insights.
- Proficiency in research tools and software, as well as experience with data visualization and storytelling.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree or comparable experience in Market Research, Industrial Design, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
- Advanced degree is a plus
