Responsibilities:
This position is for a highly motivated individual who will support the HA Group’s SOX and internal controls compliance program. The senior will work in a team that serves as the Group’s internal controls and SOX specialists and will have exposure to various departments across all levels. The primary responsibilities for this position is to assist in building the framework and structure for the compliance program.
•Facilitating required SOX documentation & updates
•Leading projects and SOX initiatives
•Maintaining, updating, improving internal controls and documentations within Wdesk
•Assisting in identifying risks and designing controls with control owners
•Providing SOX education to control owners
•Working closely with the external and internal auditors
•Staying updated on current SOX requirements
Requirements:
•Bachelors degree in Accounting
•Minimum 2-4 years in public accounting, big 4 preferred or relevant experience
•CPA license preferred
•Understands SOX requirements for public companies
•Excellent organization and communication skills (written and verbal)
•Strong interpersonal skills
•Self-motivated and independent
•Attention to detail
•Ability to drive process improvements
•Ability to multi-task and prioritize workload
•Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
•Some travel required, mostly to the Santa Clarita or the Seattle office
•Work beyond normal business hours will be required occasionally to support projects and deadlines.
