About the Job
Our client distributes grocery products to independent and chain retailers in 50 states and our own corporate-owned retail stores throughout the Midwest, in addition to fresh food processing and distribution. Through our MDV military division, we are a leading distributor of grocery products to U.S. military commissaries.
Location: Prefer - Hybrid work week (onsite 3 days) OR 100% remote in approved states (Fla, Ga, Ind, Iowa, Md, Mich, Minn, N.C., N.D., Neb, Ohio, Okla, S.D., Tenn, Texas, Va, W. VA., Wis.)
Contract length: 10 + months

Position Summary:
- This role is responsible for Primary Accountabilities Contract Management and Administration - Contract Negotiation - Contract Interpretation - Issue & Dispute Resolution - Service Request Management - Contract Change Control - Consumption Analysis (ARC/RRC Mgmt.)
- Team Leadership - Mentor a small team of procurement professionals - Coaching, - Prioritization of Key Objectives & Principals - Supplier Oversight - Internal Governance against Legal, Financial, & Procurement Processes - Contract Governance - Problem Escalation
Here is what you will do:
- Individual contributor within the IT Procurement team to implement strategic sourcing and vendor relationship strategies for all IT asset acquisitions (Hardware and software) and contract labor.
- Quantifies, interprets, and makes recommendations on proposals into clear decision criteria for IT Leadership Team
- Works closely with all IT teams to ensure requirements are properly translated into measurable SLA's, ensures that these are integrated into the contract.
- Responsible for contract interpretation and first line of dispute resolution on IT agreements, contract change control, & record keeping.
- Supports multiple contracts or complex enterprise agreements. Works on projects that range in size, complexity, and contract duration.
- Ensures that IT projects and initiatives are engaging Finance and Legal at the proper times and complying with company guidelines and non-negotiables.
- Conduct ongoing governance of contracts.
- Conduct financial review of contract change orders and conduct consumption analysis.
- Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed.
Here is what you will need:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science / information systems or 5+ years of Technology Experience with proven record of accomplishment
- 5+ years of procurement experience
- 5+ years in vendor management experience in Software License Agreements, Statement of Work Agreements, Technology Sourcing Managed Services, and Consumption Based Pricing Agreements
- Management of at least $50MM of spend, and 50+ suppliers
