Senior Knowledge Management Developer
6 month - Contract to Hire Opportunity
Pay rate: $52.80 - $60.09 hr during contract term - $110 - 125K upon full-time conversion
Work Location: Completely on-site at Fort Shafter in Honolulu, HI.
This position will support the Knowledge Management Office with SharePoint Developer services, which is responsible for assessing, designing, implementing, and executing KM policies and guidance, developing knowledge systems, providing KM oversight/governance, supporting all aspects of Knowledge Management (KM) activities.
Knowledge Management (KM) is the process of enabling knowledge flow to enhance shared understanding to improve organizational learning and decision-making.
Basic Required Qualifications and Skills:
- At start date, must possess current IAT Level II Certification. One or more of the following certifications in ACTIVE status are acceptable.
- CCNA-Security
- CND
- Security+ CE
- CySA+
- 5- 8 years of experience serving as a Knowledge Manager or functioning in a KM role or commensurate experience.
- Knowledge of SharePoint platforms/systems.
- SharePoint 2016 and SharePoint online.
- Using SharePoint's built-in features and extending those features using client-side technologies.
- Development, modification, and maintenance of SharePoint solutions.
- Designing, developing, and managing site content.
- Version control systems, e.g. Git, TFS.
- Working in a collaborative Agile team environment.
- Creation of custom templates, web parts, and custom workflows.
- Strong general web development skills: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, REST, JSON
- Detailed understanding of KM, web design, creation of collaborative tools and information system solutions, and IT concepts, principles, and practices.
- Strong communication skills at all levels, and experience interfacing with senior officials.
- Ability to evaluate data to quickly identify problems, issues, and gaps.
- Ability to travel OCONUS.
- Please note that under a government contract, this specific position requires U.S. Citizenship.
- All applicants must have current DoD Top Secret clearance on day one and before entry on duty.
Desired Qualifications and Skills:
- Certified Knowledge Manager (CKM) Certification.
- Superb attention to detail, critical thinking and analysis skills, and excellent oral and written communication.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide support for collaborative services and tools including implementation and maintenance. This includes portal services, collaborative tools, information system solutions, web applications, and IT concepts principles and practices.
- Provide technical training supporting KM policy and strategy that falls under the umbrella of people, processes, organizations, and tools.
- Implements KM initiatives and provides a framework to ensure the capture, harnessing, and exploitation of intellectual capital.
- Responsible for assisting with governance creation and distribution.
- Analyze and design SharePoint forms.
- Coordinate KM activities supporting boards, bureaus, centers, cells, and working groups (B2C2WG) structure.
