About the Opportunity
We are conducting a search on behalf of our client to find an experienced Senior Lead Electrical Engineer to take on a key role within their team. This professional will lead and manage engineering projects, support team members, and serve as the primary engineer accountable for assigned initiatives. This role emphasizes maintaining high standards in technical design, managing resources efficiently, and ensuring successful project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
This senior-level engineering role includes:
- Project Leadership: Act as the Engineer of Record on projects, overseeing technical quality and performance.
- Staff Supervision: Lead and mentor engineering team members, coordinate project tasks, and conduct regular performance evaluations.
- Technical Oversight: Support technical training and mentor team members on design standards and project best practices.
- Project Coordination: Oversee system design and engineering tasks, establish project-specific criteria, and ensure design standards are met.
- Construction Administration: Handle construction documentation, including field reports, responses to RFIs, and managing addenda and bulletins.
- Financial Coordination: Work with accounting to manage project invoices, monitor receivables, and follow up as necessary.
- Team Collaboration: Facilitate communication between team members, clients, contractors, and stakeholders to keep projects on track.
- Strategic Contributions: Engage in committees and contribute to developing company-wide engineering standards.
- Proposal and Contract Administration: Prepare project proposals, manage contracts, and oversee additional service agreements.
- Analysis and Reporting: Supervise technical assessments and condition analysis for building systems.
Qualifications
Ideal candidates will have:
- Licensure: Active Professional Engineer (PE) license.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution.
- Experience: 12+ years in the consulting engineering field, with specific experience in MEP. A background in healthcare, critical facilities, commercial, or aviation projects is a plus.
- Supervisory Background: At least 3 years of experience in a supervisory or team leadership role.
- Technical Skills: Hands-on experience with CAD and Revit, with a strong focus on technical design.
