About the Job
We are seeking a tech-savvy and professional Senior Legal Assistant to support a Private Wealth group at a top-tier AmLaw 200 law firm in Atlanta. The Legal Assistant will provide critical legal administrative support to a group of attorneys specializing in wills, trusts, estates, and other aspects of private wealth management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive administrative support, including managing attorneys' calendars, scheduling meetings, and organizing travel arrangements.
- Prepare, edit, and review legal documents, correspondence, and reports.
- Assist with the preparation and filing of estate planning documents, trust agreements, and related legal paperwork.
- Manage attorney expense reports and handle billing activities.
- Maintain organized and confidential files, both electronic and paper-based.
- Act as the point of contact for client communications, ensuring prompt and professional responses.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as accounting and document services, to ensure smooth workflow.
- Conduct legal research as needed, using the firm's software and databases.
- Stay up to date with the latest technology and software used within the firm, ensuring proficiency in legal tech tools.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience working in a law firm, preferably in a private wealth or trusts and estates practice group.
- Proficiency with legal software and technology platforms, including iManage, ChromeRiver, Aderant, etc.
- Strong organizational skills with an ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a polished and professional demeanor.
- High attention to detail and ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive client information.
- Eagerness to learn, grow, and develop in the legal field.
