Position: Senior Legal Marketing Specialist
Location: Seattle, New York, or Washington D.C. (Hybrid Schedule)
Direct Counsel is looking for a Senior Legal Marketing Specialist to play a key role in supporting marketing, events, content, and business development initiatives for a leading U.S. law firm. This is an opportunity to contribute to a high-impact marketing team, implementing strategies that drive engagement, enhance brand visibility, and further the firm’s strategic goals.
Responsibilities
- Campaign Management:
- Collaborate with internal teams to execute multi-channel marketing campaigns (digital, email, social, events, advertising).
- Track campaign performance and present data on key metrics such as conversion rates, event attendance, and online engagement.
- Event Support:
- Assist in planning and executing events, including managing logistics, preparing materials, and providing day-of support.
- Conduct post-event analysis, and identify business development opportunities for attorneys.
- Award Nominations & Rankings:
- Oversee award nomination submissions, manage timelines, and coordinate with internal PR and BD teams for promotions.
- Track submission deadlines for surveys and work with writers/editors to ensure timely submissions.
- Research & Analysis:
- Conduct industry, client, and competitor research to identify trends and inform strategic marketing decisions.
- Research industry events and seminars to identify new opportunities and strategic gaps.
- Operational Support:
- Proof and edit marketing materials (e.g., newsletters, brochures) in line with the firm’s style guide.
- Support marketing operations by working with professional staff to align with firm-wide goals and strategy.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required, ideally with a focus in marketing, communications, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in marketing, preferably in a law firm or professional services environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with CRM systems for campaign tracking and management.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively across all levels.
- High attention to detail, political and situational awareness, and strong project management abilities.
- Ability to prioritize tasks in a dynamic environment while remaining collaborative and adaptable.
Salary and Benefits
- Salary Range:
- Seattle: $89,000 to $98,000
- New York City: $94,000 to $103,000
- Washington, D.C.: $90,000 to $100,000
- Salaries are adjusted based on experience, location, and job-related factors.
