The 96th Test Wing (96TW), headquartered at Eglin Air Force Base (AFB), is host to a wide range of activities that support all services, multiple Department of Defense (DoD) agencies, Contractors, and Allied Nations. The Wing provides expert evaluation and validation of the performance of systems throughout the design, development, acquisition, and sustainment process to ensure the warfighter has technologically superior, reliable, maintainable, sustainable, and safe systems. The 96th Test Wing performs DT&E across the complete system life cycle for a wide variety of customers. This position is located at Eglin AFB, FL. Qualis Corporation is hiring a Linux System Engineer (Level IV) to provide Technical Support as a Sr Linux System Administrator for the 96 Range Control Squadron (96 RNCS) High Performance Computing (HPC) Team .

Requirements

Essential Functions

•Responsible for the maintenance, configuration, and operation of Linux computer systems in a HPC server environment

•Joint Responsibilities for leading and tasking job duties to the other technical team members.

•To evaluate Special Access Program (SAP) systems, capabilities, and initiate feasibility studies and cost benefit analyses to determine means necessary to enhance their value and ultimate mission performance.

•Maintain system security across the environment in coordination with organizations security requirements and policies.

•Ensure local services are reliable (account management, storage arrays, disaster recover, backups, networking etc.)

•Provide documentation and technical specifications to IT staff for planning and implementing new or upgrades of IT infrastructure.

•Provide cyber-security support for application development, planning, network implementation, systems integration, communication support, computer-communication maintenance, asset management and security controls.

•Provides test area support with collecting, controlling, documenting, disseminating, and preserving ISphysical/logical layout and configuration.

•Monitors and documents system changes in accordance with the Configuration Management Policy.

•Must have experience with compliance of DoD Security and Technical Implementation Guidelines, policies, and procedures as they apply to systems baseline configurations.

•Provide information assurance support to the Information System Security Officer (ISSO) and Information System Security Manager (ISSM)

Education and Experience Qualifications

•Master's Degree in Computer Science or other relevant field with 12+ years of experience.

•Experience with HPCE specification and configuration required.

•Experience with Linux systems required.

•Experience in Risk Management Framework (RMF) required.

•Must be compliant with DoD 8140 IAT Level II: (One of the following) CompTIA CySA+, CompTIA Security+, CCNA - Security, GICSP, GSEC, SSC

•Must have an understanding of the specific procedures and processes of the Air Force Test Center and DoD regulations and guidelines.

•Must have ability to quickly understand the customers overall technical objectives and mission a provide effective solutions.

•Excellent verbal and written communication skills along with customer interaction and presentation capabilities required.

•Must exemplify a dedication to achieving the mission of the 96TW as well as high standards of quality and excellence in performing the duties.

•Must be able to work effectively alone, unsupervised, or within a group

•Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment while being able to prioritize work to balance multiple projects and deadlines.

•Desired additional skills: Networking , Different types of storage arrays

Security Clearance

•Must hold an active Department of Defense Secret Security Clearance with ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret.
