As a Senior Litigation Attorney, your responsibilities will include:
1. Representing clients in court and before government agencies, presenting evidence to defend clients or prosecute defendants in civil litigation.
2. Conducting legal research and gathering evidence for lawsuits, often involving complex matters related to insurance law and personal injury litigation.
3. Interpreting laws, rulings, and regulations for clients and advising them about their legal rights and obligations.
4. Preparing and drafting legal documents, such as wills, deeds, patent applications, mortgages, leases, and contracts.
5. Negotiating settlements in civil disputes, balancing the best interests of the client with the potential risks and costs of trial.
6. Supervising and mentoring junior attorneys and legal staff, fostering an environment of teamwork and professional growth.
7. Collaborating with colleagues and clients to develop strategies for litigation while maintaining high standards of professionalism and ethical conduct.
**Qualifications**
To be considered for this position, candidates must possess the following qualifications:
1. Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in litigation, with a specific focus on insurance law and personal injury litigation.
3. Licensed to practice law in the state.
4. Exceptional skills in legal research and writing, with a keen eye for detail.
5. Extensive experience with trial practice, including presenting cases before a judge and/or jury.
6. Strong negotiation skills, with a proven ability to resolve disputes favorably for clients.
7. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to explain complex legal matters in a clear and concise manner.
8. Demonstrated leadership skills, with experience in supervising and mentoring junior staff.
