Sr. Machine Repair Team Member
Our client is seeking a skilled and experienced Sr. Machine Repair Team Member to join their dynamic team. In this critical role, you will play a pivotal part in maintaining and troubleshooting machinery to ensure smooth and continuous operations in a fast-paced industrial setting. You will work on various systems, including pneumatic, hydraulic, and electric cylinders and valves, with responsibilities ranging from rebuilding machinery to overseeing safety and regulatory compliance. This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned professional with a deep understanding of machine repair procedures to take the lead on projects and mentor junior team members.
Key Responsibilities:
- Adhere to IATF16949 and ISO14001 work instructions and safety guidelines.
- Read and follow all job-related work instructions to ensure safe and efficient machine repair.
- Rebuild pneumatic, electric, and hydraulic cylinders, valves, and pumps.
- Maintain air compressors, wells, water pumps, and emission systems (excluding electrical).
- Troubleshoot and maintain mold units, robotic systems, and gas systems in the flame hardening department.
- Perform pipefitting, rigging, and equipment troubleshooting as needed.
- Complete rigging tasks and change out oxygen, propane, and natural gas systems.
- Utilize blueprints, schematics, and hydraulic diagrams for machine maintenance.
- Perform spill containment duties and ensure proper handling of hazardous materials.
- Lead repair and improvement projects, defining appropriate work scopes.
- Train and mentor millwrights and apprentices.
- Basic computer skills for work order entry and completion.
- Obtain and maintain forklift and man-lift licenses through company training programs.
- Provide personal hand tools for daily work.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Associate's degree in a related field or equivalent certification in Manufacturing Machine Repair preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of industrial experience in machine repair.
- Strong hands-on testing ability in key areas like hydraulic troubleshooting, power transmission assembly, and cylinder rebuilding.
- Proven ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
Preferred Skills:
- Certification in Machine Repair or a related field.
- Advanced knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, and robotic systems.
- Leadership experience in a repair or maintenance role.
