The Senior Maintenance Supervisor position is a supervisory leadership role supported by on-the-job training, development, and opportunity for career progression. Lead Maintenance Supervisors are:

What you'll do...
+ Understand and consistently apply standard manufacturing operating systems.
+ Validate and bridge operational needs as required to ensure the line is running safely, efficiently, and producing quality parts at rate.
+ Cascade communication and provide team recognition.
+ Establish and build Team Leader and Team Member capabilities.
+ Create a conducive work environment for the team(s) to complete their assigned responsibilities / tasks.
+ Handle basic administration of supervisory responsibilities and documents.
+ Assign appropriate trades and engineering resources to maintain production equipment for continuous operation.
+ Participate in MOS meetings to write and finalize Maximo 4Ds for equipment failures.
+ Identify spare parts and preventive maintenance job plans for new equipment, and review effectiveness for existing job plans. Improve existing maintenance job plans based on failures, feedback from skilled trades and engineering team.
+ Promote and ensure constant improvement in the organization toward the common goal of improving product quality, plant competitiveness and total cost structure.
+ Ensure department follows government/industry safety and quality standards.
+ Synchronize resources and activities required to ensure problem free start-up.
+ Facilitate start-up/shift to shift meetings.
+ Initiate constraint analysis and coordinate activities to eliminate the bottlenecks.
+ Establish the goal of maximizing equipment efficiency to improve productivity.
+ Review/approve PM activities by ensuring spare parts availability.
+ Review department safety measurables and coordinate improvement activities
+ Drive continuous improvement and SQDCPME processes.
+ Ability to work any shift as well as rotating shifts and weekends.
You'll have...
+ High School Diploma or GED
+ 3+ years’ experience troubleshooting technical issues in a manufacturing environment
Even better, you may have...
+ Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
+ 3-5 years automotive experience
+ Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
+ Prior experience assigning work to unionized hourly workforce and holding employees accountable for following safety, quality, and throughput processes.
+ Strong organizational and administrative skills
+ Demonstrated multi-tasking, problem-solving, and conflict leadership skills.
+ Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles
+ Familiarity with constraint management principles
+ Safety and Quality experience preferred.
+ Microsoft Office knowledge (Word/Excel/Outlook)
+ Fundamental understanding of PLC logic and controls
+ Familiarity with FIS and Maximo
+ Knowledge of both production and maintenance processes
