- 3rd Shift: 10:00 pm to 6:30 am, Monday through Friday (with some weekend work)
- 2nd Shift: 2:00 pm to 10:30 pm, Monday through Friday (with some weekend work)
Pay Rate:
$25 - $30 per hour, depending on experience

Position Overview:
The Senior Maintenance Technician is responsible for the monitoring, maintenance, and repair of plant systems and equipment to ensure smooth and efficient operation. This includes working with equipment such as balers, conveyor belts, shredders, motors, pulleys, gearboxes, and other plant machinery. The role requires a proactive approach to troubleshooting and resolving mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues, as well as supporting plant safety and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:
- Inspect and Maintain Equipment: Regularly inspect and maintain recycling equipment, including balers, conveyors, motors, gearboxes, and hydraulic systems.
- Perform Preventative Maintenance: Conduct routine preventive maintenance on plant systems to reduce downtime and extend the life of equipment.
- Troubleshoot and Repair: Quickly diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues, including conveyor belts, motors, and hydraulic components.
- Optimize Equipment Performance: Monitor equipment performance and suggest improvements to enhance efficiency and throughput in the recycling process.
- Collaborate with Team: Work closely with the maintenance team and operations staff to ensure minimal downtime and safe equipment operation.
- Adhere to Safety Protocols: Follow all safety standards and procedures, ensuring a safe work environment for all staff.
- Document and Report: Keep detailed records of maintenance activities and communicate with supervisors regarding equipment status and required repairs.
- Manage Spare Parts Inventory: Ensure adequate stock of necessary parts and tools for maintenance and repair activities.
- System Upgrades and Modifications: Assist with installing or upgrading equipment and systems to improve plant operations and support production goals.
Preferred Skills and Experience:
- Experience with maintenance in the recycling industry, including balers, shredders, conveyors, and sorting equipment.
- Knowledge of electrical systems, hydraulics, welding, and mechanical repair.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a maintenance role, preferably in industrial, manufacturing, or recycling environments.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to work assigned shifts, including weekends when necessary.
