Responsibilities
Looking for a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact with your
lending and management skills?
Join Baker Tilly's Community Development Lending Practice on the
Development & Community Advisory team and support our Community
Development Financial Institution (CDFI) and Community Development
Entity (CDE) clients in their efforts to manage programs available
through the Community Development Financial Institutions (CDFI) Fund,
other federal agencies, and private sector groups. CDFIs and CDEs
leverage these critical initiatives to make positive impacts to
low-income communities nationwide.
This position will serve our existing CDFI and CDE client base in an
expanded fashion while acting as a catalyst to grow the practice. You
will collaborate with subject-matter specialists on our community
development team to assist clients in managing their loan programs, with
a particular focus on clean energy financing. Key functions include
understanding the nuances of loan program underwriting and management
and programs available to CDFIs and CDEs, process implementation and
management and clear written communication abilities.
- Provide strategic consulting services related to community
development finance with a particular focus on the EPA's Clean
Communities Investment Accelerator (CCIA) program
- Create and administer training and tools related to loan program
administration, including un erwriting, for CDFIs and community
lenders
- Collaborate with other team members and subject-matter specialists
to coordinate, develop, and manage technical content for client
engagements
- Participate in strategic planning process around existing and
emerging CDFI opportunities
- Partner with internal managers to determine applicability of
programs to existing client base
- Project manage program administration
- Handle all assignments with care and confidentiality
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required
- 5 to 7 years of lending experience required; clean energy financing
experience preferred
- CDFI industry experience a plus
- Grant application experience a plus
- Excellent writing, analytical and organizational skills
- Strong interpersonal skills and communication skills for internal
(team) and external (client) communications
- Ability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
- Strong work ethic and willingness to work extended periods as needed
based on specific deadlines/application windows at certain times of
the year
- Interest in taking an opportunity from concept to significant
growth/future buildout and playing a leadership role
