The Manager of Claims Transformation will play a crucial role in the organization's strategic planning and execution. This role requires strong leadership skills, analytical thinking, and the ability to navigate complex organizational structures.
About the Role
As the Manager of Claims Transformation, you will be responsible for driving and managing large-scale claims transformation initiatives that align with the company's overall strategy and objectives. You will have ownership to create, shape, and own the digital vision and roadmap for key capabilities across the claims lifecycle. This is a highly influential role and one in which you'll play an instrumental role in influencing and guiding your stakeholders as well as our technology teams towards a single vision.
In this role, you will:
- Partner with the Center of Excellence, IT and Claims leadership to drive enhancements across key capabilities across the claims ecosystem.
- Lead a team (or teams) consisting of a product owner, developer(s), and business representatives to develop, implement and deliver project objectives.
- Continuously identify and craft new and sophisticated ways of transforming the claims experience to drive efficiency and effectiveness across the claim lifecycle.
- Partner with stakeholders across technology and claims business to build out a future state vision for key components of the claims process and deliver a plan to deliver on key objectives.
- Partner with other domains to build capabilities and tools that improve the seamless digital customer experience with agents and customers.
- Set overall domain mission, vision, and goals through collaboration with technology and business stakeholders.
- Facilitate quarterly business planning for the domain, and shape the domain backlogs at a high level
- Act as a liaison with the rest of the organization, managing expectations with all stakeholders.
- Manage dependencies and remove any business blocks across pods within the domain or across domains.
- Investigate and stay current on external trends within the insurance industry.
Qualifications
- Background: 5 to 8 years of progressive Claims experience with direct experience in Strategy, Procedures, Workflows and Transformation.
- Engaging stakeholders: Ability to work with stakeholders across all levels to influence short-and long-term business strategies in a matrixed organization. Combine both deep business and technology knowledge leadership and influencing skills to persuade stakeholders towards a vision.
- Change management: Track record of embracing change. Developing strategies to create change and assessing the impact and readiness for change.
- Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills and building collaborative relationships with a diverse group of people across many levels of the organization.
- Problem solving: Strong analytical skills and ability to make decisions, concentrating on high priority issues as needed and in a timely manner.
- Management: Agile adaptable, flexible, and decisive - ability to adjust to changing priorities and demands. Supporting a program plan and monitoring progress and performance against it. Identifying and resolving obstacles to completing a program on time and to budget.
- Project management: experience managing complex projects across multiple business areas with varying levels of stakeholders.
