Position Summary:
The Senior Manager, Global Consolidations, Finance Systems and Accounting Policy will be responsible for the global financial consolidation activities of the Company’s 100 plus entities in the Company’s enterprise planning and management (EPM) system as well as the management of certain other global Finance owned systems. This position will also own the accounting policies and the process to create, maintain and communicate accounting policies. This position will report to the Corporate Controller. This role will be responsible for the oversight, training, and development of a team of two to three. The role will also work closely with the External Reporting and Technical Accounting team during the month-end close, consolidation and reporting processes. This role will be a key contact in cross departmental and global finance coordination efforts and will be a go-to Corporate Finance senior leader for the global controllership group.
Job Accountabilities:
- Oversee the global consolidation process, including monthly consolidation of actuals and periodic consolidation of forecast and budget financial information, including:
- Ensuring timely and complete submissions of monthly trial balances from 100+ global subsidiaries as well as various other ad hoc and recurring supplemental data submissions;
- Ensuring complete and accurate financial data in the consolidation process, including intercompany eliminations;
- Review and approval of consolidation journal entries ensuring completeness of data and accuracy of information used
- Review and approval of certain consolidated account reconciliations
- Leveraging complete and accurate consolidated financial data, oversee the generation and distribution of internal reporting packages to leaders and executives with a focus on using the Company’s EPM and other reporting systems to develop automation into standardized, globally consistent internal reporting throughout the Company (leading the effort to move away from excel based financial reporting)
- Work in collaboration with the External Reporting and Technical Accounting team (who also report to the Corporate Controller) in supporting all quarterly and annual external reporting requirements, specifically as it relates to the completeness and accuracy of all underlying consolidated financial results
- Collaborate with the External Reporting and Technical Accounting team and the global accounting teams to develop a roadmap for implementation and develop, maintain and communicate accounting policies
- Collaborate with the sustainability team to populate the ESG reporting required by the various jurisdictions the company operates in
- Support the financial integration of acquired businesses into the Company’s global financial consolidation and reporting process
- Own (e.g. serve as one of the key power users and experts, administrators and serve as the point of contact for) certain global financial systems, including Planful (the Company’s EPM), Blackline, and LeaseQuery. Provide support to users as needed and own the entire system development life cycle of these financial systems
- Ensure all processes and activities performed within the team are done in compliance with the Company’s internal control standards and consistently identify, propose, and implement process efficiencies and improvements throughout the team and Corporate Finance organization.
- Assist in ad-hoc request as needed in coordination with other finance departments such as FP&A, Treasury and Tax functions as well as being a key contact and partner with the global finance organization

Blended work arrangement with standard expectation of 3 days in the office a week and 2 days remote work from home – subject to agreement with the Corporate Controller in collaboration with the rest of the Corporate Finance team
Education, Experience, Skills & Competencies:
Key Education or Certification Required
Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or accounting; CPA strongly preferred
Required Minimum Number of Years of Relevant Experience
8+ years of relevant work experience showing progression in areas of responsibilities. Previous supervisory experience required.
Required Skills and Competencies
- Combination of public accounting and corporate industry experience preferred
- Experience working for a global (multi-national) company required and experience with a manufacturing company preferred
- Experience working for a public company and knowledge of SOX-404 requirements required
- Experience in financial consolidations required and experience with financial systems administration and maintenance preferred
- Experience working in or with external reporting or FP&A and management reporting preferred
- The position requires the ability to understand problems, collect & summarize data, establish facts and draw conclusions
- The ability to offer creative ideas for improving business analysis is encouraged and expected
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate well within a global organization
- Must be able to work in a demanding environment, prioritize projects and think analytically
- The ideal candidate will be a initiative-taker and someone who can easily flex between leading and overseeing a department (leveraging the team and delegating tasks and responsibilities appropriately) and being more hands on and a “manager-doer” who ensures tasks and objectives are accomplished on time and with a high degree of quality
- Advanced MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and knowledge of Accounting Systems such as JDE and Planful (formerly Host Analytics) preferred
