The Role
As the Senior Manager, Finance systems, you will partner cross-functionally with leaders within the general and administrative function and across multiple functions such as engineering, product, and security. You will be responsible for maintaining, enhancing and expanding the tools used across finance to enable the function to scale and be looked upon to effectively influence stakeholders.
You are a multi-tool finance systems expert capable of delivering technical solutions supporting core accounting processes. Strong communication and project management skills are a must as well as the ability to navigate in a complex and fast-changing environment. This role will manage one teammate and report to our VP, Global Controller.
Position Responsibilities
- Architect, configure, and support core finance system solutions to improve accounting operations
- Maintain a detailed systems roadmap, with a 3 to 5 year view, that sits across all aspects of finance. This roadmap is to include ERP and planning tools, payroll, purchasing, billing/rev rec, and other systems as identified
- Identify/source resources to deliver on roadmap initiatives, managing them for success
- Use deep systems expertise to resolve technical issues and redesign processes to improve operational efficiency through automation; evaluate system alternatives and effects on functionality, effort, performance, and operations
- Help develop scalable financial processes related to month-end close, including accruals and reporting all with an eye toward condensing the team's time to close
- Ensure procedures, processes, and proper change controls are followed on all production changes and implementation projects
- Oversee user access management and establish quarterly review process to resolve segregation of duties conflicts
- Work with an eye towards future SOX compliance and always keep change management frameworks top of mind
- Manage, develop, and collaborate with existing Finance Systems teammate
What We Look For
- 7+ years of hands-on experience with accounting systems (NetSuite) and financial planning tools (Adaptive). In addition, advanced knowledge of certain integration platforms such as iPaaS and SQL for querying databases
- Administrator-level knowledge of roles, permissions, custom objects, scripting, workflows, reports, and dashboards, including advanced saved search and report building experience
- Administrator-level knowledge of roles, permissions, privileged access, content groups, multiple charts of accounts, dynamic approval chains, custom objects, tax codes, tolerances, custom workflows, supplier configuration, and report building
- Experience with global system implementations and enhancements that support localization and international expansion
- Ability to create, own and update the finance systems technology roadmap
- Provide training end-to-end support for all financial systems
- Knowledge of core accounting processes such as procure to pay, record to report, hire to retire
- Experience with project management concepts and tools
- Strong project management experience
