ENERGY SYSTEMS GROUP® is seeking a Senior Manager, Financial Planning and Analysis to join our Finance and Accounting team located at our corporate office in Newburgh, IN. This position is onsite with the opportunity for hybrid work. This position may include travel of up to 10-20% including overnight and weekends.
The Financial Planning and Analysis Senior Manager will be responsible for overseeing the financial planning, forecasting, and analysis activities of Energy Systems Group. Primary responsibilities include analyzing monthly and annual financial performance and benchmarking against key performance indicators, leading the preparation of consolidated financial reports, forecasts, and budget, and developing and maintaining financial models. Effective coordination and collaboration across a diversity of businesses and functions are essential aspects of this role.
To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate must have strong technical skills in information technology tools and systems, be able to critically analyze large data sets and organizational metrics and be proficient in assessing financial and operational performance. This position must be able to prioritize multiple projects and be comfortable communicating with all levels of internal and external stakeholders.
The essential functions of the position include:
- Oversees financial analysis, project and market segment profitability, business unit and group level profit and loss, variance analysis, and key performance indicator dashboards.
- Leads the timely and accurate consolidation, analysis, and presentation of monthly projections, financial reports, budgets and financial trends in order to assist the Executive Team, Business Unit Leadership, and the Board with developing and delivering the company financial performance goals.
- Develops and maintains financial models and performs financial and operational analyses to support decision-making.
- Work closely with business unit, sales, and operational leaders to provide financial insights that inform and drive business strategy and performance.
- Proposes process and system improvements for increased efficiencies within financial reporting.
- Provides strategic operational insight for M&A due diligence including the identification of potential business risks and operational synergies, along with technical financial support including financial modeling and return analyses for possible acquisition targets.
Your background includes:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting; MBA or CPA preferred
- 7-10 years of related experience
- Strong financial, analytical problem-solving, and communication skills
- Advanced skills in MS Excel and Power Point, and familiarity with ERP and MS BI or similar tools
- Proven ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks
- Experience leading a team of financial analysts
