Senior Manager, Global Public Relations - Sol de Janeiro

Sol de Janeiro is seeking a Senior Manager, Global Public Relations. This role supports the Director, Global & Americas Public Relations, in strategically aligning and executing public relations activities across global initiatives. This role is central to crafting and executing global PR campaigns and fostering strategic media relationships that resonate with a global audience. This position will be supported by an Assistant Manager, Global & Americas Public Relations to ensure seamless execution of these initiatives.

*This role is based in the US, preferably in the NY area. The role is a hybrid role, with 3 days required in the office.

Overall Responsibilities:

Strategic Media Relations:

• Collaborate with global and regional agency partners to drive cohesive media strategies and achieve impactful coverage that aligns with brand objectives.

Global PR Strategy Development:

• Lead the development and execution of a global public relations strategy that aligns with Sol de Janeiro's brand values, ensuring the brand's narrative is consistently communicated across all markets.
• Provide strategic direction to global and regional PR agencies, ensuring alignment with the brand's overarching PR strategy and objectives.

Campaign Management:

• Plan, execute, and manage global PR campaigns in collaboration with the VP and Director, aimed at enhancing brand visibility and driving consumer engagement.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure that PR campaigns are integrated seamlessly across all marketing channels, supporting overall business goals.

Event Planning & Execution:

• Organize and manage global brand and press events, including product launches, partnership announcements, and experiential activations, ensuring flawless execution and desired media coverage.

Team Leadership & Development:

• Work closely with the Assistant Manager, Global & Americas Public Relations, ensuring alignment on strategic goals and effective execution of initiatives.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to the Assistant Manager, fostering professional growth and achieving departmental goals.

Performance Tracking & Budget Management:

• Monitor, analyze, and report on the performance of global PR initiatives, utilizing data-driven insights to optimize strategies.

• Manage the global PR budget effectively, ensuring all initiatives are cost-efficient and deliver strong ROI.

Industry Trend Analysis:

• Stay informed about emerging trends, media platforms, and best practices within the beauty industry and beyond.

• Leverage insights to inform and adapt global PR strategies, keeping Sol de Janeiro at the forefront of innovative and effective public relations.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in public relations, Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5+ years of experience in PR and media relations, with a proven track record of developing and executing successful global PR campaigns.
• Experience within the beauty, lifestyle, or consumer goods sectors is highly desirable.
• Show success in securing high-impact global press coverage and managing partnerships in various industries.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling narratives and adapt messaging for various global audiences.
• Strong relationship-building skills with media contacts, partners, and internal stakeholders across different regions.
• Excellent organizational and project management abilities, capable of managing multiple global initiatives simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
• Strategic thinker with a creative mindset, able to develop innovative solutions and adapt to changing environments.
• Proficiency in PR tools and software, as well as Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Data-driven approach to measuring and analyzing campaign performance, with experience in leveraging insights to inform strategic decisions.
