The Marketing Analytics and Business Insights (MABI) team supporting AbbVie’s US Commercial organization is 200+ members strong and growing every day. We comprise highly respected researchers, analysts, and strategists striving to be the gold standard Research & Analytics organization within the biopharmaceutical industry. Job DescriptionThe role will be hybrid in Mettawa, IL Tuesday through Thursday
The Senior Manager, Marketing Analytics for the Neuroscience & Eye Care MABI team will design, implement, manage, analyze, and effectively communicate advanced analytic initiatives on pipeline and inline assets on behalf of the Migraine team. The individual will derive high-impact learnings from quantitative analytics and partner across Brand partners and external agencies to inform strategic and tactical decision-making. The ability to influence decisions based upon careful and strategic thinking and understanding of the business is critical to success.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Act as a market analytics lead and intelligence partner for Migraine Marketing, focused on
providing strategic insights, forming a trusted relationship, and staying abreast of commercial issues and burgeoning trends within the space.
• Be conversant with advanced analytics methods, adept at supplier and stakeholder
management, and able to independently lead custom analytics projects that deliver compelling and actionable learnings.
• Perform thought-provoking and sophisticated syntheses of learnings to develop actionable
insights and recommendations that shape strategies and tactics.
• Maintain organizational knowledge of the market, competitive trends, and industry
developments and effectively communicate this knowledge to internal stakeholders.
• Build solid relationships as a team player, while maintaining objectivity and lack of bias to
represent the voice of the customer.
• Demonstrate thoughtful confidence in presentation of learnings across different levels of
the organization.
• Appropriately manage and collaborate with research suppliers.
• Monitor and manage analytics within budget and identify opportunities for cost savings
where appropriate.
• Ensure all activities are conducted in accordance with financial and ethical compliance
guidelines.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required in one of the following fields: Physics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, Econometrics, Actuarial Science, Decision Sciences, Operations Research, Finance, and/or Applied Mathematics
- 7+ years’ progressive business experiences in marketing analytics, database marketing, data engineering and predictive modeling.
- 7+ years of relevant experience in quantitative analysis of sales and marketing information, including use of this information in the development of business plans and strategies.
- Experience in pharmaceutical industry and pharmaceutical data (physician-level prescribing, institutional sales data, payer-prescriber-level data, formulary data, patient-level data).
- Analytical reasoning abilities, intellectual curiosity, strong business acumen, superior organizational skills, meticulous attention to detail, and creativity in problem-solving.
- Ability to interact effectively with/present to (verbally and in writing) all levels of the organization.
- Proven experience as an integral member of a high-performing work team
- Experience with and strong aptitude navigating a heavily matrixed and fast-paced environment.
- Ability to collaborate effectively cross-functionally within the organization and with external agencies.
- Demonstrated project management skills
